Mummy is here

My mum has been in Melbourne since the 8th. She is here until tomorrow, before she flies out to Sydney to spend Easter with my cousins. We have had a pretty good time - it is the first time that she has been over since I've moved. On the day she arrived, we went to the Victoria Markets and we had roast lamb for dinner that night. I took her to Ikea because that's where I take everyone new to Melbourne.

We have been to St Kilda, the Southbank Markets, had yum cha in Chinatown. Bridge Road, Chapel Street, Chadstone. It's been good. We even had Alistair's parents over for dinner and I made a curry. Today I took the day off work, because I converted my New Zealand drivers licence over to a Victorian one. I didn't have to do any tests or anything like that, I just had to show up, have my photo taken and pay the $15 or whatever it was. It was pretty pointless to get changed over as there was no problem with me using my New Zealand licence here, but it was something I did because I thought it would be cool. So there you go.

Plans for the long, four day weekend. Well, on Friday Alistair and I are going down to Geelong for dinner and we are spending the night there. But other than that, there isn't anything really set in stone. We need to think of something to buy his sister for her birthday, that's next weekend! We best be putting our thinking caps on.
